Today! Which day are we talking about?
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: Acts 2:17
what if anything does the above verse have to do with what is happening today?
That is a good question because the last days are not what is just happening now, nor is it some idea that those days are years or decades, or maybe even hundreds of years somewhere in the future. The “Last Days” began on the first day of Pentecost. Prophetically speaking the Bible points to a three day period.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant — of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2 Peter 3:8
Given that is true, were are at the end of the second day of the three day period. The next “day” will be the millenial “day”, or the day that Jesus returns at the beginning of.
32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Mark 13:32
We are told to be ready at all times for the return of Christ, but you need to be filled with the Holy Spirit and walking in the Spirit to be ready
40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. Luke 12:40
God is a miracle worker and one of the greatest promises that God keeps is filling people with the Holy Spirit, which is a miraculous event in anyone’s life. It is an event that you can experience, and once experienced it is unforgettable. It is life changing. You will instantly know that your past is forgiven, and that you have a new life that is filled with the hope of an amazing future, with the ongoing benefit of God’s promises and presence in your life. The ultimate promise is everlasting life. Jesus is coming back, God has promised that, and you will know it is true because he kept his promise when you were filled with the Holy Spirit.
If God is able to keep the promise of filling you with the Holy Spirit you will know and understand that he keeps all his promises
Numbers 23:19
19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Titus 1:2
2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2 Corinthians 6:2
Today’s news from 2000 years ago
Matthew 24:4-8
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

How many wars have there been? Of the past 3,400 years, humans have been entirely at peace for 268 of them, or just 8 percent of recorded history. |
At least 108 million people were killed in wars in the twentieth century. Estimates for the total number killed in wars throughout all of human history range from 150 million to 1 billion. Jul 6, 2003 How many wars has America had between 1776 and 2017? |
Not really the greatest record is it |

They regularly elect nations to human rights committees that that have the worst human rights records of almost any nation. The UN record is absolutely awful and is one of man’s greatest wastes of money on the planet.

The Weather (Climate) is crazy. Not like it used to be at all, so they say. But are they right? The reality is that the world at one time was a lot warmer than it is today. At one time in history the Bible says it didn’t rain at all, but relied on the dew to water the ground. It actually didn’t rain until the time of Noah’s flood, but you might not have known that. Then the climate really changed and for the first time in history the world experienced rainbows and everything that went along with rain and clouds like thunder and lightning. Wow, that must have had the scientists really thinking. Oops, sorry, there were no scientists then to muddy the (new) waters.
