The Key to Salvation

how to get the key

Acts 2:38
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:4
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 10:46
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47 Can any man forbid — water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

Acts 19:5
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

The KEY to understanding the Bible (Word of God) is the Holy Spirit. Without receiving the Holy Spirit you are trying to read a book in the dark, and we all know that isn’t possible. You need light. The Holy Spirit is that light.

You have seen in the previous verses that when people received the Holy Spirit, they spoke in tongues. Many will tell you that speaking in tongues is not for today (not true), that it is of the Devil (certainly not true), that it is only for certain gifted or chosen people (not true, but explainable why they say that). “They” are a large group of people with a lot of false information, and sadly they have mostly not had the experience of receiving the Holy Spirit, so it is impossible for them to understand or know what exactly speaking in tongues is all about. The few that have received the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues that say these things have been misinformed by preachers of false doctrines (clearly explainable).

In the Revival Fellowship worldwide, everyone that has received the Holy Spirit as the Bible describes, speaks in tongues. We have discovered that this is what God does when he fills us with His Spirit, and we don’t have a choice as to whether we speak in tongues or not, it just happens. It is the proof for all of us that God’s word is absolutely true.

If you believe God’s word is true, and you don’t speak in tongues, then you haven’t heard the full gospel.

Many churches today have an extraordinary  interest in numbers rather than truth. As a consequence their salvation message is quite different than what the Bible actually says. The “numbers” games seems to legitimize in people’s minds that size equals being right. that is so far from the truth as to be in the realm of fairy tales.  The most common examples follow.

Accept Christ  as your personal savior (not in the Bible)

Give your heart to the Lord (not in the Bible)

Say or repeat the “Sinners Prayer” (not in the Bible)

No doubt there are a number of other things along the same line of thinking that are not in the Bible either. If in doubt, ask who you are talking to, to show you that in the Bible.

There are a number of verses that are used to claim salvation, but they do not reveal to us how to get saved, but rather how to stay saved by understanding the scriptures. It is also extremely important to understand who those words were written to and why they are written. They are usually written with the encouragement to continue on the right path, or to avoid the wrong one.More details on these things on another page

The world we live in has long said that man is basically good. That unfortunately is just not true and God said so thousands of years ago. So, if man is not good then he has a great need to repent, as we all do because we all are a part of mankind. the Bible very clearly has told us that there is no one that is righteous.

“Baptism” The word itself is often misused in churches today and is quite often used for a ritual that is just sprinkling or pouring water over a baby’s head. First thing we need to know is that sprinkling or pouring was never a biblical concept. The word itself is an anglicized greek word and means to be totally immersed.

Now we know what it means, so the Bible use will make more sense in as much as it is a type for burial. this is to show that you are willing to die to your old way of life and rise to a new life. Obviously a baby cannot do that and there is no record of any baby being baptized in the Bible. Also one needs to believe and understand what is being accomplished. Children have a difficult time understanding that concept. While here, we need to tell you that God parents are not mentioned in the Bible either, so we do not do that. What the Bible is clear about is that you must as a believing understanding adult work out your salvation yourself. No one can do it for you.

In Acts 2:38, in the third part of the verse Peter says that “Ye shall receive the Holy Ghost”

Many today are saying that they have received the Holy Ghost (Spirit) but have no evidence of that event, and often cannot pinpoint when it happened. This is not how God works. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the God Head. He is coming to live in you. One would think that an event like that would be marked by some kind of evidence. Well, you’re right. When you receive the Holy Spirit you will speak in tongues. Not the gift, but the sign or mark of identification. God wants to identify you as a Christian, His way. So, you will speak in tongues, no choice there it is what God does. You will know it has happened, no one will need to tell you.

One of the great things that will happen is that God’s Word, the Bible will come alive to you.

Have we got your attention? We hope so. Time is obviously short.

Tongues, The elephant in the room

Most people in church circles today are very reluctant to talk about speaking in tongues, and have the idea that it either not for today, or only a few special people can do this, or the extreme view is that it is of the Devil

None of the above is true, and only very few churches understand that. We are one of those.

What Sets Us Apart

Everyone in our fellowship that is filled with the Holy Spirit,
speaks in tongues
On the day of Pentecost God poured out the Holy Spirit on mankind for thievery first time. When he did, all of them spoke in tongues. This was the evidence that they had received the Holy Spirit, but it was also the day that the church began. We believe that the church today should be the same as it was on the day of Pentecost, and everyone that is filled with the Spirit should have the God given evidence of speaking in tongues. It will change your life.

Reality Redefined.

1 Corinthians 14:2
2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

Tongues is for that purpose, to speak to God. It is a prayer language given to us when we receive the Holy Spirit, and that purpose is made clear for us below

Romans 8: 26 — Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Is it the Gift of Tongues?

The short answer to that is, no.

There are a number of “Gifts” of the Spirit and in it’s right place in the church tongues is one of them, but so is interpretation and prophecy, which no one seems to get initially.

Churches by and large seem to have a lot of confusing ideas about speaking in tongues, which is not surprising as most of them deny that it is the initial evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit. Because they don’t understand it, they tell their members essentially that it is either not important or no longer available, because “they” tell them they are saved anyway, which is not the truth.

If you are wanting the truth, then you need to talk to someone that knows the truth
